In Project Re-Connect 2014, the collaborating agencies will provide wrap around re-entry services to approximately ninety (90) former offenders in St. Louis City over eighteen months. The Center will act as the lead agency for this project, as it did from 2007-2010. The Program Coordinator at the Center will contact all Missouri prisons to inform them of the new program, and will send informational pamphlets and application forms to the prisons. Information about the program will also be distributed to City homeless shelters, and listed in the Start Here STL Directory. The pamphlet and application will also be posted on the Center's website.
Project Re-Connect will receive applications of former offenders who (1) are currently St. Louis City residents or who are incarcerated and were St. Louis City residents immediately prior to incarceration, (2) who are being released to St. Louis City or have recently (within 12 months) been released from custody and/or supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections; and (3) have maxed out their sentences and are not under continuing supervision from the Missouri Department of Corrections.
