Maddy Heil
Vocational Specialist

Maddy is the Vocational Specialist, working with all participants in the CWIT program. She has experience in Navigation, Adult Literacy, Career Coaching and Mentoring through the Kalamazoo Literacy Council, READ Muskegon, The Pen Prison Project, and Arizona State University. Maddy believes education, empowerment, peer support, and creative expression are integral tools in helping individuals to improve their lives. She has conducted research on trauma and the effects it has on a person’s development and identity. She is passionate about prison reform, education, and empowering others to be their best selves. Maddy is excited to bring her skills, experience, and perspective to CWIT!
