Community Engagement Coordinator
Prior to joining CWIT, Kenji worked in the mentorship program at Sponsors, Inc., a prison re-entry agency in Eugene, Oregon, conducting research and coordinating programming for mentors and mentees. In 2017, Kenji moved to St. Louis to pursue his Masters in Social Work. As a practicum student, he gained experience in prison re-entry and substance use disorder treatment at Clayton Behavioral, St. Louis Integrated Health Network and the City of St. Louis Mayor’s Office. Kenji deeply believes in the value of mentorship; it has played a crucial role in his own personal journey. Kenji holds a B.A. in Critical Theory and Social Justice from Occidental College and an MSW in Mental Health from Washington University in St. Louis Brown School of Social Work.
