Mary Kate Junget
Mary Kate joins our team as a case manager. Originating from the East Coast, she attended college in New Hampshire where she pursued an individualized degree in Environmental Sociology. During her time there, she became fascinated by the relationship between people and their environment – be it built or natural – and how it affects community development. Before relocating to St. Louis, she spent seven years as a case manager at a Connecticut-based trauma responsive non-profit. There, she focused on providing at-risk youth in the juvenile justice system with the tools they needed to achieve gainful employment and become valuable members of their community.
Mary Kate was inspired to join the team at the Center for Women in Transition because of the team's dedication to empowering women and providing them with a stepping stone upon their release from incarceration. She hopes to use her experience in trauma responsive care to create a loving and supportive environment for women in the criminal justice system.
