GENERAL SUMMARY: Support the Schirmer Place team in the capacity of an onsite presence during evening, overnight and weekend hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise participants’ activities within the house; maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere; ensure compliance to program rules and requirements.
2. Document and log activities as required.
3. Perform urinalysis when necessary or when drug or alcohol use is suspected.
4. Document inventory of residents and Schirmer house upon move-in and move out.
5. Attend weekly staff meetings, supervisory and/or team meetings.
6. Participate in training and staff development as required.
7. Monitor and secure resident medication.
8. Monitor visits on weekend shifts.
9. Conduct room checks according to established guidelines.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Able to set and maintain boundaries.
4. Conflict management skills.
5. Previous experience working with offenders and/or at-risk population helpful but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
2. Ability to tolerate long periods of sitting.
3. Ability to demonstrate the physical stamina to do some walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
4. Ability to lift, push or pull objects weighing 15 pounds.
5. Ability to demonstrate good finger/hand dexterity for typing, sorting, filing, etc.
